We are delighted and extremely proud to be a partner and a sponsor of the PPA initiatives. Beyond the Edge sponsors a number a PPA initiatives annually and also works with schools directly to assist and sponsor where possible.

 

Some of our sponsorship initiatives:

  • Termly Envelope Drive: sponsor 160 schools with envelopes for their termly reports (160 000 envelopes)
  • Beyond The Edge Tutoring in association with Radio Tygerberg 104FM– Outside Broadcasts hosted at various schools including Ravensmead High, Fairmount Secondary, Forest Village Leadership Academy, Tuscany Glen Primary, Wespoort Primary & Jamaica Way Primary where we distributed 1500 stationery packs, donations, gift vouchers, sweet packs, face painting and jumping castles. We also conducted FREE READING & MATHEMATICS ASSESMENTS
  • Main Sponsor –Mathematic Olympiad 2019 – Spine Road High (Second Year)
  • Annual PPA Secretaries Day (Second Year) sponsored bus, goody bags and arranged hosts – Graeme Richards (Expresso SABC) & Lindsey Muckle (Strictly Come Dancing) and other entertainment.
  • Sponsored Banner – Wespoort Primary & Banner for the EMO ADAMS Concert
  • Feeding Schemes – Spine Road High & Windsor High  
  • Donations – Forest Village Leadership Academy, Palm Park Primary, Jamaica Way Primary, Eastville Primary, Blackheath Secondary, Windsor High  
  • Day of The Aged – Spine Road High – (Sponsor towards 2000 elderly/ retiree annual lunch)
  • Mandela Day –  Mosselbay E.K Primary
  • Annual PPA Golf Day sponsorship: Through our partnership with the PPA we donate towards all the PPA annual events, especially the PPA Golf Day. Through this initiative the PPA sponsors deserving learners at various schools with bursaries to the value of more than R180 000 every year.
  • Grade 7 Mathematic Olympiad: In partnership with the PPA and Spine Road High School. We offer to be the main sponsor of the 2018 Mathematics Olympiad.

We love to give learners the opportunity to accomplish their dreams, and therefore sponsored school sport events such as:

 

  • Kunj Fu learners to Hong Kong: We proudly donated towards this event to ensure that all the deserving learners had to monetary support to undertake this once in a lifetime journey to compete in Hong Kong early in 2018.
  • We also sponsor community projects, such as the annual Day of the Aged hosted by Spine Road High School. The event treats more than 900 seniors to a breakfast and lunch – and a day filled with entertainment.
  • We also host an annual Stationery Drive in conjunction with the Weskus Mall in Vredenburg, we partner with the Weskus Mall and donate R 20 000 towards stationery for schools in need up the West Coast.

 Stationery Drive 2018

Weskus Mall

We were one of the sponsors for the SA-SSAF stationery drive at the Weskus Mall in Vredenburg on the 14th of January 2017.

This was the third consecutive year of this initiative and we would like to extend a special thank you to Graeme Richards especially for originally starting and driving this initiative with SA-SSAF from the beginning of 2014. It’s been a pleasure and such a huge privilege and honour to work with him.

This year’s event took place at the Weskus Mall on the 3rd of March 2018 with Graeme Richards as the MC again.  The Beneficiaries were the West Coast Schools & PPA.

Donations:

Beyond The Edge Tutoring donated an additional R 5000 towards the bursary fund – Progressive Principal Association (PPA)
